Role permissions

Control Devices

This permission gives access to the “My devices” page in the admin panel. The User can manage Devices that were paired through the mobile app or shared with them on the admin panel.

Delete Companies

The User with this permission has access to the “Companies” page and can:

  • view details about the Company in which they participate;
  • view details about subsidiaries of their Company;
  • delete the Company by clicking the “Trash” icon - this action requires Super Admin approval; the Company to be deleted should not have devices, participants, or subsidiaries;
  • view Companies relations.

Delete Devices

This permission includes the following possibilities:

  • access to the “Devices management” page;
  • view Device IDs information of the User’s Company and its subsidiaries;
  • view the location of paired devices;
  • delete Device IDs that aren’t in the "Pairing"/"Paired" statuses - this action requires Super Admin approval;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the Devices.

Delete Roles

The User with this permission can:

  • access to the “Roles” page;
  • view information about all Roles;
  • delete Roles - this action requires Super Admin approval.

Delete User’s participation

This permission gives access to the “Users” page and allows to view information about Users and their participation in the User’s Company and its subsidiaries.

The possibility to delete the user’s participation is available only with the “Manage user’s participation” permission. This action also requires Super Admin approval.

Delete Users

This permission gives access to the “Users” page, allows one to view information about Users and their participation in the User’s Company and its subsidiaries, and the possibility to delete the User by clicking the “Trash” icon. The last action requires Super Admin approval.

Flash Device

The User with this permission can:

  • access to the “Devices management” page;
  • view Device IDs information of the User’s company and its subsidiaries;
  • view the location of paired Devices;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the Devices;
  • flash Devices in case the binary files for the product are uploaded.

Manage additional info templates

This permission should be in the pair with the other one that gives access to the additional info option. Such additional permissions can be:

Click the “Create user” or “Create company” button. In the modal window that appears, click the “Select template” button. The “Manage additional info templates” permission allows you to edit, delete or create new additional info templates without the Super Admin approval.

Manage Companies

The User with this permission can:

  • access to the “Companies” page;
  • view Companies (their own and its subsidiaries);
  • add tags to Companies;
  • edit Companies;
  • add new Company;
  • view Companies relation.

This permission does not allow to delete the Company. To make it, the User must have “Delete companies” permission.

Manage Devices

This permission gives the following possibilities:

  • access to the “Devices management” page;
  • view Device IDs information of the user’s Company and its subsidiaries;
  • view the location of paired Devices;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the devices;
  • change the Device ID status;
  • view Device ID admins;
  • generate credentials for the Device pairing to the Company account;
  • view and create “Historical data reports”;
  • add tags to Device IDs;
  • edit Device IDs.

To delete the Device, the User must have a “Delete Devices” additional permission; to flash the device - additional “Flash Device” permission; to fall into the Device ID - additional “Service Devices” permission.

Manage products

With this permission, the User has access to the “Product management” link and can go to the vendor panel to use all its functionality.

Manage reports

This permission works with the "View devices" permission only. It allows the User to view the "Reports" page, showing information about their devices' availability history and custom reports from devices if configured.

Manage Roles

This permission gives access to the “Roles” page and allows the User to view existing Roles, edit them and create new ones. All these actions require Admin's approval.

This permission doesn’t allow to delete the Role. The user must have an additional “Delete Roles” permission to make it.

Manage snapshots

The User with this permission has access to the “Devices management” page and can view information about the Device IDs of their Company and its subsidiaries. Also, the User can:

  • view the location of paired Devices;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the devices;
  • fall into the device, view its sensors, their historical data, change sensors' values, clear state;
  • view, create, edit, and apply snapshots.

The User hasn't access the generating credentials for the pairing device to the company account, view admins, edit the Device ID, etc.

Manage User’s participation

This permission is used to:

  • view info about Users and their participations on the “Users” page;
  • edit the User’s participation - it requires Admin approval;
  • add new User’s participation.

This permission doesn’t allow to delete the User’s participation. The “Delete user’s participation” permission should be granted to make it.

Manage Users

The User with this permission has access to the “Users” page where they can:

  • view information about Users;
  • add tags;
  • create new Users;
  • edit Users.

For the User can delete the User, the additional “Delete users” permission must be granted to them.

Service Devices

With this permission, the “Devices management” page is available for the User where they can:

  • view Device IDs information of the User’s Company and its subsidiaries;
  • view the location of paired Devices;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the devices;
  • generate credentials for the Device pairing to the Company account;
  • fall into the Device ID to view sensors and their historical data, change sensors' values, clear the device’s state, and view notifications.

View Companies

This permission gives the User access to the “Companies” page and lets them view information about their Company and its subsidiaries.

View Devices

This permission gives the User access to the “Devices management” page, where they can view information about the Device IDs. Also, the User with this permission can:

  • view the location of paired Devices;
  • view products title, type, and abbreviation by clicking the “Products” button;
  • view serial logs;
  • download Device IDs list in CSV;
  • download Device IDs QR codes;
  • track the Devices.

View monitoring

This permission grants access to the “System monitoring” link that opens the modal window with a login, password, and link to the reports in the Grafana web app.

View my requests

This permission grants the User access to the “My requests” page, where they can view information about requests they sent to the Admin about sensitive actions.

View own reports

The User with this permission can access the “Reports” page, where they can view information about their Devices' availability history and custom reports from Devices if configured.

View Roles

This permission gives the User access to the “Roles” page, where they can view information about the Roles configured on the platform.

View Users

This permission gives the User access to the “Users” page, where they can view information about the platform’s Users.

Default Roles

Super Admin

The Super Admin role contains all permissions described above. The Super Admin has access to all Companies, Users, Devices, etc., of their Company and all its subsidiaries.

Also, the Super Admins have some additional unique permissions:

  • Add Devices IDs - only Super Admin can create Device IDs.
  • Restore Companies - the ability to restore deleted Companies.
  • Restore Device IDs - the ability to restore deleted Device IDs.
  • Restore Roles - the ability to restore deleted Roles.
  • Restore Users - the ability to restore deleted Users.
  • View requested actions - the ability to view and manage the requested actions of other Users.

Company Admin

The Company Admin has access to the info about their Company and its subsidiaries and has the following permissions:

  • Control Devices.
  • Delete Companies.
  • Delete Devices.
  • Delete Roles.
  • Delete User’s participation.
  • Delete Users.
  • Flash Device.
  • Manage additional info templates.
  • Manage Companies.
  • Manage Devices.
  • Manage reports.
  • Manage requested actions.
  • Manage Roles.
  • Manage snapshots.
  • Manage User’s participation.
  • Manage Users.
  • Restore Companies.
  • Restore Device IDs.
  • Restore Roles.
  • Restore Users.
  • Service Devices.
  • View Companies.
  • View Devices.
  • View Roles.
  • View requested actions.
  • View Users.

End user

The end user has two permissions:

  • Control Devices - the ability to view and manage their paired devices.
  • View own reports - the ability to view information about their devices' availability history and custom reports from devices if configured.
